Summer Camps and Short Courses
Learn, explore and experience something new.
A summer camp or short course can be an opportunity to develop new skills, experience a different learning environment and discover another culture. Whether the goal is language learning, academic enrichment or a memorable educational experience, choosing the right programme matters.
Study With FM helps students and families explore suitable options, understand what each programme offers and navigate applications and practical arrangements. Camps and courses are delivered by independent education and programme providers.
Choosing a programme with confidence
Summer camps and short courses vary widely. Two programmes in the same destination may have very different age requirements, teaching schedules, accommodation, supervision, activities and fees.
We help you look beyond the brochure, ask the right questions and compare options against the participant's interests, needs, budget and plans. For families of younger students, understanding the provider's safeguarding and residential arrangements is particularly important.
What you can expect
Our aim is to help you make an informed choice and approach the application process with a clear plan. Depending on the agreed support, this may mean:
- A shortlist of programmes suited to the participant's age, interests and goals.
- A clearer picture of entry requirements, dates, duration and availability.
- An understanding of published fees, accommodation, meals, activities and supervision arrangements.
- Guidance on required documents, applications and provider communications.
- Practical next steps for enrolment, travel and preparation.
The final choice rests with the participant and, for anyone under 18, their parent or guardian. The provider makes all admission and place-allocation decisions.
What our support includes — and what it does not
How Study With FM can help
Your agreed service may include:
- An initial discussion about goals, preferences and budget.
- Research and comparison of suitable programmes and providers.
- Guidance on published age limits, eligibility and entry requirements.
- Help preparing and organising application information and documents.
- Application coordination and communication with providers, where authorised.
- Help understanding offers, programme inclusions and the next steps after a place is confirmed.
- Pre-departure guidance and coordination of additional arrangements, where requested and available.
We will confirm the scope of our support before work begins.
What independent providers are responsible for
Study With FM does not ordinarily operate the camps or courses. Teaching, programme delivery, on-site and residential supervision, safeguarding at the venue, accommodation and meals supplied by the provider, activities, excursions and emergency arrangements are normally managed by the independent provider or another contracted third party.
Our team does not ordinarily accompany or supervise participants throughout a camp. Any additional accompaniment or supervision would need to be separately agreed and clearly confirmed. Travel insurance, medical care and legal guardianship are not automatically included.
How it works
Tell us what you're looking for
We discuss the participant's age, education level, interests, preferred destinations and dates, budget, and any relevant support needs.
Explore suitable programmes
We research available options and consider their published entry requirements, format and suitability.
Compare the details
We help you understand the differences in content, dates, fees, accommodation, meals, activities and supervision arrangements, as applicable.
Prepare the application
We guide or coordinate the application and supporting documents within the agreed scope of service.
Understand the offer and next steps
If a provider offers a place, we help clarify the conditions, relevant deadlines and practical steps to take before confirming participation.
Plan the journey
Where needed, we can help coordinate pre-departure arrangements. Depending on the circumstances, this may include arranging flights through third-party providers, coordinating airport transfers, or liaising with the school or programme provider. These arrangements are agreed separately and are not automatically included.
When should you start?
As early as reasonably possible, particularly for residential programmes, popular dates or international travel. Deadlines, available places, document requirements and visa processing times vary. We can discuss realistic next steps once we know which programme you are considering.
What we need from you
To begin, it helps to know:
- The participant's age and current stage of education.
- Their interests, goals and relevant language level.
- Preferred destinations, dates and course length.
- Approximate budget and accommodation preferences.
- Nationality and country of residence, where relevant to eligibility or travel.
- Any support or accessibility requirements that could affect programme suitability.
For participants under 18, we will involve a parent or guardian. If an application proceeds, we will explain what additional information or documents the provider requires. Health, dietary or other sensitive details will be requested only where relevant to arranging appropriate participation or support.
Who this service is for
We help families exploring structured summer programmes for children and teenagers, students interested in language learning or academic enrichment, young people considering future international study, and older students or adults seeking short courses.
There is no single minimum or maximum age across all programmes. Eligibility, support arrangements and suitable course formats depend on the individual provider.
A named adviser, not a shared inbox
You'll have a named Study With FM adviser as your point of contact for the support we agree, helping you keep track of the options, application and next steps.

Destinations
We can help you explore summer camps and short courses in destinations including Italy, Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Spain, the United Kingdom, Australia, Switzerland and France.
The programmes, age groups, dates and places available in each destination can change by season and provider. We'll discuss current options that match your requirements.
Choosing the right programme
We consider more than the destination. A suitable choice should reflect the participant's age, academic or language goals, interests, budget, preferred dates, residential needs and any additional support requirements.
Where relevant, we help families compare published supervision arrangements and ask providers about information that is not clear. The student and parent or guardian make the final decision.
Safeguarding and students under 18
For younger participants, safeguarding and supervision are central considerations. We involve parents or guardians appropriately and take safeguarding into account within our advisory and coordination role.
The information we obtain or review about a provider's safeguarding arrangements varies by provider and programme. Families should carefully check matters such as staff supervision, residential arrangements, excursions, free time, emergency contacts, medication procedures and how concerns are reported. We can help identify questions to raise with a provider when needed.
The camp or course operator is responsible for safeguarding and supervising participants during the programme. Study With FM does not ordinarily provide on-site supervision. Any separate support must be specifically agreed.
Accommodation and meals
Some programmes include residential accommodation; others are non-residential or offer accommodation at an additional cost. Options may include boarding accommodation, student residences or homestays arranged by the provider.
Meals may be fully included, partly included or charged separately. We help you check the published arrangements, but room types, availability and catering are subject to the provider's confirmation and terms.
Activities and excursions
Depending on the programme, participants may take part in cultural visits, sports, workshops, group activities, sightseeing or educational excursions. Activities and any additional charges should be checked against the current programme information.
Schedules may change, and participation in a specific excursion or activity cannot be guaranteed by Study With FM.
Language and academic development
Some courses are designed to build language and communication skills, explore academic subjects, develop independence or introduce students to international education. The experience and progress of each participant will differ.
Study With FM does not provide the teaching or guarantee a particular language level, test score, qualification, university place or academic outcome.
Fees and additional costs
Study With FM fees, where applicable, vary according to the programme, provider and support requested. We will confirm any fee for our services and what it covers before work begins.
Fees charged by the programme provider and other third parties are separate unless specifically stated otherwise. Depending on the programme and arrangements selected, costs may include:
- Tuition or programme fees and registration charges.
- Accommodation, meals, activities and excursions.
- Flights, airport transfers and local transport.
- Travel insurance, visas and government charges.
- Deposits, guardianship or other programme-specific requirements.
Always review the provider's current payment, cancellation and refund terms before committing. We can help you identify which costs are included and which are additional.
Visa and travel requirements
International travel may require a visa, entry permission or other documents depending on the participant's nationality, age, destination and intended stay. A programme offer does not guarantee permission to enter a country.
Where appropriate, Study With FM can help with general information, official-source signposting and practical application preparation permitted under the relevant rules.
